OCR Terminal: Convert PDF and JPGs to Word
In my next life I want to come back as a programmer with a heart like these guys. This new free tool makes me so happy. OCR Terminal solves a challenge I’ve had multiple times… I receive a PDF that I need to edit in Word, or a graphic of text that I need to tweak. Many free OCR (optical character recognition) software programs are less than precise, and I usually end up retyping the whole thing. Ugh.
OCR Terminal lets you upload a PDF, JPG or other types of files and converts them instantly into editable, searchable text. I had a PDF of a magazine article I wrote, and in about 90 seconds I had the version in Word… not quite perfect, but darn close.
